Pinkfresh Studio October 2020 Slimline Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release Blog Hop

Welcome, crafty friends! I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for today's Pinkfresh Studio October 2020 Slimline Stamp, Die, and Stencil release and blog hop!

This release is absolutely gorgeous, so please make sure to follow today’s hop for tons of inspiration and the chance to win a giveaway! You can find all of the giveaway information as well as all of the designers’ links below. Also, once you reach the bottom of this post, make sure to leave a comment and you'll be entered for the chance to win a $25 gift card to Pinkfresh Studio! At the bottom of the page you will also find more information on discounted shipping and free gift with purchase!

For today's release I will be sharing a card I designed using the 'Floral Notes' stamp set and coordinating stencils. So let's begin!

I started with the stencils and created flowers using a few of my favorite vibrant Pinkfresh Studio inks: Raspberry Bliss, Stargazer, Tidal Pond, and Detail Black. I used the first stencil to create the actual flower itself, combining two contrasting inks to give my flowers an ombre effect. I then used the second stencil to add the stems and leaves. To finish my florals, I used a masking technique with the final stencil, using black ink for the center of the flowers and silver embossing powder on the buds - just to add a little sparkle. Although there is a coordinating die for this stamp set, I fussy cut the flower and set it aside.

Next, I created the background panel using the 'Slim Ornate Banner' die set (specifically the two largest sizes), die cutting them in a slightly unconventional manner. I wanted the ornate detail on both ends of the background, so I die cut the banner then rotated it 180 degrees and repeated the process. This resulted in a mirrored design and is a great way to get creative with your existing dies. I then used double sided foam adhesive to adhere my smaller banner to the larger one... If you know me, you know I love adding foam adhesive for stability and dimension!

Now that my panel was complete, I used foam tape to adhere the flower image to the base. To add the leaf cutouts, I used the 'Botanical Rectangle Frame Builder' die set. Instead of using the die as a frame, I die cut multiple sheets and cut the leaves out of the frame so that I could place the leaves exactly where I wanted them.

Finally, to complete my card, for the sentiment I heat embossed the ‘Miss you so much!’ stamp (included in the 'Floral Notes' stamp set) in white embossing powder on black cardstock then adhered it using it foam adhesive.

I know you’ll love this release as much as I do! Thank you for stopping by!
