Countdown to Confetti Day 1 | Reverse Confetti

Hello, friends!

I am so excited to join Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti for their newest release! This release consists of 7 stamp sets and 10 Confetti Cuts (dies), and today is the first day of sneak peeks! There will be sneak peek posts everyday until the full release blog hop on Monday, March 8th! Each day, one commenter from every blog will win a $15 gift certificate, so be sure to stop by each sneak peek blog post and leave a comment for a chance to win. Comments will close on March 7th at 12PM CST and winners will be announced on the Reverse Confetti Blog and Facebook on March 7th at 5PM CST. There's also a chance to win on the Reverse Confetti Facebook Page, so be sure to enter there, too. You can find the entire blog hop line-up at the bottom of this post. Now, let’s get started on today’s cards!

Today’s first card features the new Orange Blossoms stamp set and coordinating dies. To begin, I stamped all of the images (and a couple of extra leaves) with alcohol marker friendly ink, colored them in, and cut them with their coordinating dies. For the background, I cut the new Along the Dotted Lines Cover Panel from heavyweight white cardstock and added gold splatter with a small brush and watercolor paint. Once the panel was dry, I adhered the orange blossoms with foam adhesive and tucked some of the extra leaves underneath with liquid glue. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the included ‘just a note to say hi...’ with white embossing powder onto black cardstock, then trimmed it down and adhered it to the panel. To finish the card, I added small orange crystals before mounting it onto an A2-sized top folding card base.

The second card features the Lily of the Valley stamp set and coordinating dies. For this card, I stamped the vase image with the same alcohol marker friendly ink and colored it in. Next, I die cut two panels with the Along the Dotted Lines Cover Panel. I cut down one of the panels to 3.75" x 4", then cut out a partial circle with a standard circle die. I added gold stripes to the lower portion of the larger panel then mounted the smaller panel, slightly offset to the right, using foam adhesive before adhering the colored image to the center the circle with foam adhesive. To complete the card, I heat embossed the 'Hello' stamp in white onto kraft cardstock and attached it with gold embroidery floss. Once complete, I mounted the panel onto a top folding A2-sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for Day 1 of sneak peeks! Be sure to check out the rest of the blog hop for more sneak peeks and inspiration. Don't forget to comment along the way for a chance to win the giveaway. Oh and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for more sneak peeks!

Have a great day, crafty friends!
