Pinkfresh Studio November 2020 Essentials Die Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!

I’m back with another amazing Pinkfresh Studio release! If you’re looking for versatile dies to add to your stash, today’s ‘Essential’ release is perfect for you! There’s a variety of A2 and slimline dies that can be used for all occasions and styles!

Let’s begin! For today’s card, I am featuring three dies from the release — 'Slimline Strips Die Set', 'Nested Chevron', and 'Fillable Gift Card Holder Die Set'. Each of these dies can be used for various sized cards and designs, you’ll see what I mean! :)

I began by cutting a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to 8.5” by 3.5” for the base. Next, I die cut the 'Nested Chevron' die using various colored cardstock, choosing to go with a rainbow theme because, well, rainbows are awesome (and who doesn’t love rainbows?!) I then created a chevron pattern using the multi-colored ‘inverted V’ pieces of cardstock, adhering them to the base starting from the middle (red) and working my way outward. To add dimension, I randomly doubled the layers throughout the pattern. As an added bonus, you’ll have a bunch of pieces leftover from your die cuts that can be used for a different card!

Once the design was complete, I created a bow using the 'Artistic Bows Die Set' and white cardstock. I wanted to add a little something extra to the bow, so I used the smaller die that is included in the 'Fillable Gift Card Holder Die Set' to die cut the petals and arranged them behind the bow before adhering it onto the card with liquid adhesive. Then, to add a partial frame to the card, I used the narrowest of the 'Slimline Strips' dies to cut white strips and placed them along the top, bottom, and right side of the card.

For the sentiment, I die cut the ‘Celebrate’ word die and shadow from the 'Classic Words Die Set' three times and adhered them together for a raised, dimensional look and adhered it onto the card using foam tape. Finally, to complete the card, I added clear embellishments from the Essential Crystals Mix.
