January Release Blog Hop & Giveaway | Erin Lee Creative

Hello, crafty friends! It’s release day over at Erin Lee Creative and I am so excited to be back as a Guest Designer for today’s blog hop and giveaway!

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the Erin Lee Creative Blog and Instagram to see the entire release and for tons of inspiration! You can also find the blog hop line-up and giveaway details at the bottom of this post!

Today’s card features the new Jumbo Skinny Rainbow and Yes Girl Word Die. Lately, I’ve been inspired by fun and colorful candy, and you may notice that my rainbow today looks a lot like sour gummy straws - one of my favorites! Let’s see how to make this whimsical and edible-looking card!

To begin, I cut a piece of Erin Lee Creative holographic cardstock down to 4” x 5.25”, die cut the Jumbo Skinny Rainbow in the center of it, and adhered it onto a piece of A2-sized white Neenah 110lb. cardstock.

Next, I die cut the Jumbo Skinny Rainbow once more, this time with double-sided adhesive fun foam. I removed the negative pieces (in this case the rainbow arches) and covered each one with very fine glitter, using some of my favorite colors, and brushed off the excess. For this step, I find that it’s important to use a high-quality foam with strong adhesive, that way the arches will maintain their shape and no extra adhesive will be required. Once each rainbow arch was fully covered with glitter, I carefully inlayed each arch, in order, by color and size.

To complete the card, I die cut the Yes Girl word die 3 times in Neenah 110lb white cardstock, stacked them together, and adhered it onto the center of the rainbow.

I hope you enjoyed today's card! Blog hop line-up and giveaway details are below, so grab some candy and hop along!

  2. Well aren't you clever! I thought that they looked like candy, but thought NO, she wouldn't do that. It must be felt. But then I read that it's glitter. Great job!
