February Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders

Hello, friends!

I’m back today sharing the new Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit! I had so much fun creating this shaker card! The February Club Kit includes 14 dies and is a great value! These versatile number dies are approximately two inches and are a perfect addition to any card. Let’s get started on this fun birthday shaker!

To begin, I cut a panel of white cardstock down to an A2 size, then used the Essentials Rectangle Etched die to create a border with a little bit of detail around the focal point. Next, I used double sided adhesive to adhere a sheet of acetate to the frame. I then added foam tape (doubled-up) around the frame, and prepped the acetate with anti-static powder (a great trick for keeping the sequins from sticking to the acetate!) Next, I carefully added some of my favorite large sequins to the center of the panel, then adhered an A2 panel on top to secure the sequins in place. Now, the fun part, flip it over and shake, shake, shake to make sure all of the sequins are moving around!

I decided to make a birthday card for my cousin’s 21st birthday, so I chose the numbers accordingly and die cut each number three times in black cardstock, then stacked and adhered them together with liquid glue. Next, I die cut the ‘Happy’ and the ordinal dies, again three times in black cardstock, and adhered them together. Lastly, I adhered the stacked die cuts to the center of the shaker base.

Easy right?! This set is perfect for creating fun, personalized cards for any occasion!

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Be sure to check out Spellbinders for all of the other club kits and value deals available! I’ll be back in a few days to feature the Small Die of the Month Club Kit. Stay tuned!
