Hello again, friends!
The Pinkfresh Studio March 2021 Stamp, Die, and Washi release is here and it is glorious! Included in this release are five beautifully illustrated and watercolored washi tapes (four of which have gorgeous gold foil outline) with coordinating stamps AND dies! We are celebrating today’s release with a blog hop and tons of prizes! You can find all of blog hop and giveaway details at the end of this post.
Today, I am showcasing the English Garden Washi and die — my personal favorite! This set consists of 7 images (on a single stamp) and 4 sentiments. These washis are fun and easy to work with and can be used with a variety of backgrounds. Here, I’m sharing a cohesive trio of cards with step-by-step instructions, so let’s begin!
I started by cutting sheets of white cardstock in half and adhering the washi. I wanted a few of the washi designs to be translucent, so I used some parchment paper as well! You can stretch your washi by using it to create stickers or even your own patterned paper. Because all 7 images are cut with one full die, it’s super easy: all you have to do is align the washi to the die and cut! I cut about 7-8 full sheets but only used about 3-4 for today’s cards - the rest I put in an envelope and saved for future cards. I’ll break down each of cards by their sentiment to explain how I created and assembled the various backgrounds.
BE A WARRIOR NOT A WORRIER
I began with an A2-sized white base then die cut the larger of the Stitched Scallop Rectangle dies in white and glued it onto the base. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto a piece of vellum and die cut it with a small circle die. I adhered the sentiment behind the wreath washi and adhered that onto the base with foam squares.
I added a couple of extra leaves and floral washi pieces around the wreath for a bit of added dimension. I finished the card by mounting it onto an A2-sized top folding card base and added some clear crystals for a little extra sparkle!
CELEBRATING EVERY LITTLE WIN WITH YOU
Next, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto the center of the vellum then wrapped it around the panel, securing it with tape runner on the back. I didn’t want a white border around the floral pattern so I trimmed the A2-sized card base to the exact size of the panel then adhered it. For some extra detail, I finished by adding a few of the floral clusters and die cut Curvy Leaves in gold glitter cardstock around the sentiment.
HUGS FROM AFAR
I adhered a few of the smaller florals onto both sides of the sentiment with foam squares and adhered the small butterfly just above the sentiment. I mounted the panel onto an A2-sized side folding card base and added a few jewels as a finishing touch!
I really that hope you enjoyed reading about my cards and find inspiration to create one yourself! Thank you so much for joining me today and don't forget to follow the hop for even more inspiration and a chance to win!
♡ Dee
