Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Hugs & Kisses Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with tons of inspiration and, of course, GIVEAWAYS! Each blog on the hop is giving away a $25 gift card to the Simon Says Stamp shop, so be sure to comment on each for a chance to win! Blog hop lineup and giveaway details can be found at the end of this post.
For all three, I created the background first to allow for ample drying time as I worked on the other parts of the card. I began by placing a 8.5 by 11 piece of heavyweight white cardstock in a splat box and spraying a few of my favorite new colors from the Ranger Ink Dina Wakely Gloss Sprays (Blushing, Rouge, and Ruby.) This step is very easy, don’t overthink it! A couple of sprays of each color is all you need - these vibrant sprays do all of the work for you! Once dry, I cut the sheet to create four A2-sized panels.
Thank you so much for joining me today! Don’t forget to hop along and comment for your chance to win! If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the Hugs & Kisses Inspiration Gallery, and if you used any of these awesome new products, please add your projects to the gallery! Have a great weekend, friends!
Today, I am sharing three easy-to-recreate cards featuring a few of the new products from this adorable release! I wanted to create Valentine’s themed thank you cards to give to teachers (who we all appreciate SO much!) but you can easily switch up the colors and sentiments to customize your cards.
Sending Love
- Die-cut a piece of white cardstock with the Marquee A2 die
- Die-cut one of the sprayed panels with the Chunky Scallop die and adhere over top of the Marquee die cut
- Emboss the sentiment onto a piece of light peach/coral cardstock and cut with the Nested Round Heart die (Fun fact: these dies coordinate with the From the Heart Messages stamp set!)
- Cut a piece of white cardstock with the Nested Round Hearts die then adhere the sentiment over top - choose a heart that’s 1-2 sizes bigger to create a frame for the sentiment
- Die-cut the Fiddly Leaf die with Rich Red Matte Metallic cardstock and adhere behind the heart then onto the panel using thin foam adhesive
- Die-cut a few small white hearts with the Hearts Party die and adhere to leaves using thin foam adhesive
Thank you (Chunky Hearts)
- Die-cut another sprayed panel and a piece of white cardstock with the Chunky Hearts die
- Trim and adhere the white panel onto an A2-sized card base
- Adhere sprayed die-cut hearts to the open hearts with foam adhesive
- Cut a piece of vellum with the Nested Round Hearts die
- Heat emboss the sentiment onto Rose Gold cardstock, then cut with the Nested Round Hearts die
- Adhere hearts together then onto the panel
Thank you
- Die-cut the third sprayed panel with Stitched Rectangles die, then adhere it to a card base.
- Die-cut the last sprayed panel and white cardstock with the Nested Round Hearts dies.
- Heat emboss the sentiment onto the sprayed heart then stack and adhere hearts to the panel using foam tape.
