March Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders

Hello friends,

I’m back today sharing the March Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! This month’s set, Spring Together with Lever Pull, is an adorable set that’s perfect for creating Spring and Easter themed cards. Although the set is designed for interactive cards, you can create traditional cards as well, which I opted to do since I used a lot of layers and dimension. Let’s get started on this Spring themed Hello Peeps card!

For this card, I decided to go with 3 chicks - although the set also comes with options for a bunny and a lamb. I began by die cutting all of the necessary pieces and adhering them together with liquid adhesive. Next, I die cut grass, clouds, and flowers - in two tones (light and dark) - each. Then, for the egg shells, I splattered a piece of white cardstock with multiple colors of ink and set it aside to dry.

To create the background, I ink blended a light wash of blue onto the top portion of an A2-sized white card base. I first adhered the grass alternating with liquid glue (flat) and foam squares (raised) for dimension. I then glued the small and large clouds together with glue then adhered each pair to the top of my panel with foam squares. Next I die cut the eggshell paper and adhered them to the top and bottom of the chicks then adhered the chicks with glue onto the grass before adding some flowers along the bottom. To complete the card, I die cut the sentiment, hello peeps, the from same paper used for the eggshells and again once in white, adhering it to the center of a white stitched circle then adhering the entire sentiment to the upper part of the panel.

This set has ton of possibilities and combinations for creating adorable cards! I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you found some inspiration today!

Thanks for reading!
