Thank You For Your Kindness | Simon Says Stamp

Hello, crafters!

Today, I am sharing a super fun card that combines elements of black and white with pops of colorful florals using goodies from the recent Simon Says Stamp All the Feels release! I absolutely love mixing florals and using contrasting colors, and this card is no exception! Let’s begin!

First, I centered the Painted Flowers Wreath stencil on an A2-sized piece of white cardstock and ink blended the flowers and foliage with a mix of vibrant Distress Oxide ink colors - Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, and Peacock Feathers. I then carefully wiped off the stencil and added clear matte texture paste directly overly the ink blended areas. I removed the stencil and added Ranger's Dry Glitter in Rock Candy directly on top. Once dry, I die cut it with the second largest Scalloped Rectangles die.

For the background, I stamped the Spring Flowers cling background stamp in black onto an A2-sized piece of white cardstock, then die cut the panel with the largest Stitched Rectangles die and mounted the stenciled floral wreath on top with foam tape.

Next, I heat embossed the ‘Thank you for your kindness’ from the XL Greetings 2 set in white, die cut it with the coordinating die, and adhered it to the center of the card. I then die cut the Simple Stem wafer die twice in black cardstock and tucked those behind the sentiment. Finally, to complete the card, I mounted it onto an A2-sized top-folding base and added flat back silver bobbles for a little extra sparkle!

I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and found some inspiration to create one of your own! I highly recommend experimenting with mixing florals (especially with black ink) as a fun way to stretch your supplies to create something bold and beautiful!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

♡ Dee
