March 2021 Cling Stamp, Stencil, Die, and Hot Foil Release Blog Hop | Pinkfresh Studio

My card today features the brand new Folk Garden and Best Wishes hot foil plates and dies, and I am so excited about these because, in true Pinkfresh Studio fashion, there are coordinating stamps and dies as well as stencils - something new and exciting for us crafters! These products make it easy and fun to use foil plates so if you’ve been on the fence, this is the perfect time to give it a try!

I started by turning on my foiling system to make sure it was hot and ready to go. If you’ve never used a foiling system, there are a few different versions so I highly recommend watching a few tutorials on YouTube to get an idea and to find some helpful tips/tricks! While my foiling system was heating up, I cut a piece of white cardstock to slightly bigger than an A2 size, then cut a piece of gold foil slightly smaller than the cardstock (but still large enough to cover the A2 plate). I placed the Folk Garden hot foil plate, foil, and cardstock on the dock and followed the prompts until it was ready to go. Once hot, I ran it through my die cutter (only for the pressure, not to cut) and voila, I had a beautiful foiled piece!

Prior to this, I had never tried stenciling over foiling so I was extra excited for this step! This specific design includes four stencils that are very easy to line up. For the colors, I wanted to go with blue for the leaves and pink/orange for the florals, so I used some of my favorites — Seaside, Summer Shower, Raspberry Bliss, and Apricot.

Next, I aligned the coordinating die and cut the image, then die cut another piece of white cardstock with the larger of the Stitched Rectangles die and adhered the image on top of that with foam tape.

For the sentiment, I used the new Best Wishes foil plate and repeated the same steps with the matte gold foil, die cut it, and adhered it to the center of panel. To finish, I mounted the panel onto an A2-sized top-folding card base and added blue crystals for some extra bling!
