Swirling Snowflakes Handmade Holiday Release | Simon Says Stamp

Hello, friends!!!

I’m back today with the brand new Simon Says Stamp Handmade Holiday release! This release is packed with gorgeous products perfect for those of us that love crafting!! This card features the brand new Swirling Snowflakes embossing folder! I can understand why these have become so popular again recently! They’re super easy to use, but the outcome is always impactful!

I started by embossing a piece of white cardstock with the Swirling Snowflakes folder. Next, I ink blended using a few of my favorite blues! From top to bottom, Distress Oxides in Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean, and Salvaged Patina. Next, I splattered a little bit of white gouache paint and set it aside to dry.

While that dries, I die cut snowflakes in white cardstock. The largest is the Eliza Snowflake, and the smaller is the Stitched Flakes wafer dies. The dark blue I cut out of glitter cardstock, and since I didn’t have a lighter blue, I created my own with the new Simon Says Stamp Glitz Glitter Gel in Surf

To do this, I first die-cut the snowflakes. Instead of removing the die cuts, I secured them from the back post-it tape to keep them in place. Next, I went over each with the glitter paste and a crafting spatula and set it aside to dry. Once dry, I layered and adhered the snowflakes together, then onto the embossed panel. To finish, I trimmed down a sentiment strip and added a few silver embellishments!

I hope you enjoyed reading more about this card and are inspired to try making your own glitter paper, too! Be sure to check out the new release if you haven’t done so already. Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!!
