Lovely Layers Spring Bouquet For You | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Friday, friends! The weather around here has been gloomy and rainy, so I decided to create a bold and vibrant Spring bouquet using a few of my favorite products from Honey Bee Stamps! This card features not one, not two, but THREE Lovely Layers die sets!! If you’re familiar with these dies, you already know that there are endless possibilities! Let’s get started!

To make it easier to create the bouquet, I die cut all of the layers first, starting with the Greenery, followed by the Tulips, and finally the Anemone - all in smooth white cardstock.

Tip: Use an extra shim when die-cutting each layer to create more visible score lines for the petals.

Next, I ink blended each die-cut, increasing the saturation with each layer (ink colors listed below). While those were drying, I cut the Secret Garden A2 Cover Plate Die and adhered it to an A2-sized white base, then splattered metallic gold paint throughout the panel.

INK COLORS

Red tulip:
Simon Says Stamp: Cherry, Pucker
Gina K. Designs: Cherry Red, Red Velvet

Yellow tulip:
Simon Says Stamp: Citrine, Lemonade

Orange tulip:
Simon Says Stamp: <andarin
Gina K. Designs: Tangerine Twist

Anemone:
Simon Says Stamp: Taffy, Sweets, Cherry
Gina K. Designs: In the Navy

Greenery/Stems:
Simon Says Stamp: Ocean
Gina K. Designs: Turquoise Sea

To assemble the Lovely Layers Tulips and Anemones, I used a dab of liquid glue to position the layers, then added thin foam adhesive squares where I wanted a little bit of dimension. Once finished, I splattered all of the flowers and leaves with the same gold paint.

I assembled each leaf and stem with liquid glue, leaving the ends lifted (you can add a little bit of foam here if you’d like), then arranged and adhered each flower to the panel with thin adhesive foam squares. To finish, I stamped and heat embossed ‘For you’ from the Small Card, Big Hug stamp set, die-cut it with the coordinating die, and adhered it to the card with thin adhesive foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed learning more about this card and how I created it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
