DieCember® ft. Detailed Rose Die | Simon Says Stamp

Happy Tuesday, friends!

It’s officially DieCember® and I am SO excited to be sharing my first card as part of the Simon Says Stamp Designer Family! The DieCember® release is available now and can be found HERE. Today, I will be sharing a card I created using the brand new 'Detailed Rose' die - a beautiful 4-piece set that I absolutely love!

To start, I created the background using the Simon Says Stamp 'Old Letter' cling background stamp with gold and pearl embossing powder on a 4"x 5.25" piece of Neehah 110lb smooth white cardstock. Once completed, I adhered the background onto an A2 base from the same cardstock using foam tape.

Next, I die cut the ‘Detailed Rose’ die three times in the same white cardstock and adhered all the layers together for dimension and stability. I then die cut the rose shadow die in vellum and used a light pink ink to blend over it - giving the vellum a translucent pink appearance. For the leaves, I die cut the leaf die twice in white cardstock and the leaf shadow die once in vellum. I left one of the leaves without the shadow and for the second leaf, I used the same technique as the rose, ink blending the vellum with a mint green ink.

Finally, for the sentiment I used the Simon Says Stamp 'Thanks' sentiment strips (from the STAMPtember release) and finished it off by adding a few clear droplet embelishments.

I hope you found some inspiration today! You can find more details on all the products used below. Head over to the Simon Says Stamp website to check out the rest of this amazing new release!

Thanks for stopping by!

♡ Dee
