Clear Stamp and Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders

Hello, crafty friends!

Today I’ll be sharing the Spellbinders December Clear Stamp of the Month ‘Ballerina Sentiments’ and the coordinating ‘Look Behind the Curtain’ Large Die of the Month! These club kits are an excellent value and wonderful addition for crafters looking to build their collection with fun new stamps and dies! 

To begin, I die cut all of the pieces for the curtain (including the base) using heavyweight white cardstock and die cut the curtain rod using mirrored gold cardstock. I stamped the ballerinas onto a separate piece of rectangular cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and sized it to fit the center of the base. Once adhered, I stamped the ‘Birthday’ sentiment directly underneath. 

Next, I decided to add gold accents to the curtains. Using the 'Art Deco Borders' Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and my Glimmer Hot Foil System, I added two rows using gold foil onto the front panels. I then added flowers to the curtain valence using the 'Thanks a Million' Glimmer Hot Foil Set and cardstock in different colors. I assembled the curtain and adhered it onto an A2 card base from The Card Shoppe and completed the card by adding gold sequin.
