February 2021 Stamp, Stencil and Die Release Blog Hop | Pinkfresh Studio

Welcome back, crafty friends! It’s release day for Pinkfresh Studio and we are celebrating with a blog hop and prizes! Today’s release consists of amazing new stamps, layering stencils, and dies! I’ll be sharing a pair of cards that I created using the brand new and unique Floral Harmony die! As soon I saw this die, I knew that I wanted to create something classy yet colorful, and here’s what I came up with. Also don’t forget, there’s an awesome giveaway for Pinkfresh Studio fans! You can find all of the details, as well as the blog hop lineup, down below!

To begin, I used a variety of colored cardstock to die cut 1/8 inch strips using the Slim Stripes die. Of course, being me, I went with the colors in rainbow order. By the way, the Slim Stripes dies are great for creating strips that can be used in many different ways - I always have a bunch on hand. For this card, I adhered the strips onto a piece of copy paper using tape runner. I use copy paper for this step to prevent bulk when it comes time to die cut. Once adhered, I cut the sheet in half to have 2 sets of rainbow strips.

For the first card, I centered the Floral Harmony die on the sheet of rainbow strips and die cut it, leaving an open oval in the sheet along with an oval striped piece which I set aside for the next card. I then placed an A2-sized panel, cut using the Stitched Rectangle die, behind the striped piece, backing the empty space. To fill in the oval, I cut one more Floral Harmony die in white and adhered it in the oval space. I then exchanged some of the negative flower pieces from the striped oval to inlay the pieces in the middle of the solid white oval, and even cut an additional Floral Harmony die in silver glitter and used those pieces to inlay the inside of the oval as well. That may seem a bit confusing, but the general vibe is just to mix and match elements within a die to give something an even more unique look.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed and die cut the ‘Celebrate’ stamp from the awesome new Happy Birthday Sentiments set (which may just be my new favorite set!) and placed it on the bottom of the oval using foam tape.

For the second card, I used the striped oval die that I set aside earlier as the focal point. To create the background, I die cut the Fancy Oval Frame die and Braided Oval die and adhered them onto an A2-sized panel which was cut with the Stitched Rectangle die. I then adhered the striped oval on top and exchanged the negative flower pieces for those cut from the silver glitter, as in the previous card.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed and die cut the the ‘Wish big’ sentiment, also from the Happy Birthday Sentiments set.

I really that hope you enjoyed reading about my cards and find inspiration to create one yourself! Thank you so much for joining me today and don't forget to follow the hop for even more inspiration and a chance to win!
