I am so excited to be joining the Tonic Studios blog hop today to share the brand new Compassion & Poppies Stamp Club! For today’s card, I began by stamping the largest poppy cluster stamp with alcohol friendly ink and coloring it using Copic Sketch Markers, using RV99, RV69, RV19, and RV09 for the poppies and G02 and G12 for the leaves. Once colored in, I carefully die cut the images using the coordinating dies.

To create the background, I splattered gold watercolor paint onto an A2-sized card base and set that aside to dry while I die cut the branch dies from white cardstock. I then used two of the rectangle dies to die cut the frame three times, adhering them together for more dimension. For the gold dipped look, I partially heat embossed the frame and branches with gold embossing powder.

Once the splatter background was dry, I adhered the frame and branches using liquid glue, then added the poppies. I first adhered the smaller of the two poppies directly onto the base with liquid glue, then adhered the larger poppy with foam squares in front of the frame.

Finally, for the sentiment I heat embossed the ‘thinking of you stamp’ with the same gold embossing powder as I used earlier and cut it down to size, completing the card by adhering the sentiment with foam squares.
