ALL THE FEELS RELEASE BLOG HOP: DAY 2 | SIMON SAYS STAMP

Hello, crafty friends!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp All the Feels release blog hop! Today’s hop is filled with tons of inspiration and, of course, GIVEAWAYS! Each blog on the hop will be giving away a $25 gift card to the Simon Says Stamp store, so be sure to comment on each blog for a chance to win! Blog hop line-up and giveaway details can be found at the end of this post. Today, I am sharing this card featuring the beautiful new Spring Flowers background cling stampI just love this type of stamp for its versatility! Here I used a resist ink technique to create a half panel, then combined it with one of my favorite leaf dies, and I love the result! Let’s get started!

I started with a piece of white cardstock, stamped it with embossing ink and heat embossed it in white. I then ink blended using a combination of two different Distress Oxide inks, Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry, and set that aside to dry while I worked on the background.

For this part, I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle dies then adhered it to a top-folding white card base. I die cut a 2.5” portion of the inked panel with the Scallop Stitched edger die and adhered it to the background with foam tape. Next I die cut four of the Tender Leaves die in white and tucked them under the panel, adhering them with liquid adhesive.

For the sentiments, I die cut You from the Big Love You die set twice in white and once in black, ink blended the top layer with the same ink colors as before, and adhered the layers together - slightly off-set for a shadow effect. I adhered it to the panel with foam tape and below it, I adhered a sub-sentiment from a quick sentiment strips set. Finally, to complete the card, I added a few clear bubble sequins for some sparkle!

Thank you so much for joining me today! Don’t forget to hop along and comment for your chance to win! If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the All the Feels inspiration gallery and if you used any of these awesome new products, please add your projects to the gallery!

Enjoy the hop and have a great weekend, friends!
