Today, I am sharing this slimline card featuring the beautiful new Spring Bouquets stamp and die set. I absolutely love the size of set and can’t get over the beautiful detail on the stamps! Although I love the look of pretty, delicate florals with lots of white space, this time I decided to switch it up and go with an edgy, neon-colored palette and I’m loving the results!
For the background, I placed a piece of heavyweight white cardstock in a splat box and sprayed a few of my favorite colors from the Ranger Ink Dina Wakely Gloss Sprays — Magenta, Lemon, Lime, and Ocean. I began with this step to allow ample time to dry as I worked on the florals.
Next, I stamped the bouquet with Copic-friendly black ink, colored it using - Copic Sketch colors in YG01, YG03, and YG05 for the leaves and RV00, RV02, RV04, B000, B00, B02, Y13, Y15, and Y17 for the florals, then die cut it with the coordinating die for a clean border. Once the background panel was dry, I cut it down to a slimline-sized base and adhered the bouquet to it with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed ‘Good Luck’ from the XL Greetings 2 stamps set, die cut it with the coordinating die, then adhered it with foam squares and added a sub sentiment below it from the SSS Sentiment Strips. As a finishing touch, I added a few clear sequins for a little twinkle then mounted the card onto a slimline-sized side-folding base.
